Photo Wrap: The Man Behind The Pie

If you’ve ever wondered who’s the guy behind your pie at Fina Pizza Bar (3007 Fort Hamilton Parkway between E. 2nd and E. 3rd Streets), look no further! Fina published this Instagram photo today of the restaurant’s owner, Anthony Carrubba, describing him as “no amateur pizzaiolo.”

“His Sicilian-American family made pizza for years at their shop in Lower Manhattan” before he opened the eatery, the restaurant wrote.

As for the patrons? They’d go a little further than saying Anthony’s not an amateur.

“The owners are from Sicily, the oven is from Napoli, the pizzas are from heaven,” neighbor Ivan wrote in his Yelp review.
