Photo Of The Day: Before We Say Goodbye To The Holidays…
We’ve said goodbye to the holidays, but neighbor John Casson has offered us one more fantastic look at a display at Park Slope Barber & Hair (223 7th Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets).
Casson says:
“When I moved to Park Slope almost fifty years ago, ornate seasonal window displays in retail stores, once commonplace, had become rare throughout New York City…The barbershop, acclaimed by its patrons for its collection of swing and jazz recordings from the 60s and 70s, is the oldest barber shop in Park Slope and, arguably, the oldest continuously operating barber shop in New York City.”
