Photo Flashback: Prospect Park Carousel

It’s the last Thursday for free rides on the Prospect Park Carousel (kids 12 and under), so we thought we’d take a look at some classic photos of our 101-year-old beauty. The following series was taken by the Brooklyn Daily Eagle in 1952.

Have some past or present photos of your family enjoying the Prospect Park Carousel? Send them to us at editor@bklyner.com and we’ll add them to the post.

The carousel is open until 6pm on Thursday, so you’ve still got time to get the kids over there for a free ride. At only $2 for adults, it’s totally worth it if you want to jump on for a spin, too. Have fun!
