There are plenty of fun things to do in Park Slope this weekend! Demon barbers, bluegrass music, 90s dance music, and Muppets galore. There’s something for everyone this weekend in Park Slope.

Sweeney Todd
When: Thursday-Saturday, July 9-11, 10pm
Where: Old Stone House, 376 9th Street at 6th Avenue
What: Come watch The Demon Barber of Fleet Street under the star at the Old Stone House. Set in 19th century England, Sweeney Todd is an unjustly exiled barber who returns to London with a new name seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him, ravaged his young wife and became warden to his daughter. Todd’s downstairs neighbor, Mrs. Lovett’s luck sharply shifts when Todd helps her integrate an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up to indulge themselves. Concessions with beer, wine, meatpies, sweet treats available from Sweet Pistachio Patisserie.

Celebrate Brooklyn!: Punch Brothers
When: Thursday, July 9, 7:30pm
Where: Prospect Park Bandshell, Prospect Park West at 9th Street
What: Don’t let a damp forecast keep you from a night of bluegrass at this Thursday’s Celebrate Brooklyn! The “virtuosic” quintet, Punch Brothers, will be joined by Brooklyn newbie Sarah Jarosz. You won’t want to miss it!

Lola Star’s Dreamland Roller Disco
When: Friday, July 10, 7:30pm
Where: LeFrak Center, Lakeside
What: If you’re hungry life a wolf, the only place you need to be this Friday is Lakeside, where Dreamland Roller Disco is all about Duran Duran and New Wave. Note that admission is restricted to guests ages 21 and older. For more information, or to buy tickets in advance, visit the Dreamland website.

“Old South” Documentary Screening
When: Friday, July 10, 9pm
Where: Green Space Garden at President Street
What: In the aftermath of Ferguson, Baltimore and now Charleston, everyone’s talking about race. But is it really so easy to speak openly and honestly? Or to change? Through a quiet unfolding three year story, “OLD SOUTH” provides a window into the underlying dynamics of race relations that influence not just the South, but many American communities. And ultimately inspires hope, reflection, and a crucial step forward.

11th Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival: Juice Hip Hop Exhibition
When: Friday, July 10, 9pm
Where: Littlefield, 622 Degraw Street
What: Established in 2005, The Brooklyn Hip ­Hop Festival  is New York City’s largest Hip ­Hop cultural event that showcases the positive aspects of the culture by highlighting Hip ­Hop’s legacy as an agent of artistic progression, community building and social change.

Coffee Bark
When: Saturday, July 11, 7am-9am
Where: Meadow beside the Picnic House in Prospect Park (Enter at PPW and 3rd Street)
What: Fido’s popular Coffee Bark returns to Prospect Park on Saturday. There will be treats for dogs (and their owners), as well as information on off-leash activities.

Celebrate Brooklyn!: The New Pornographers
When: Saturday, July 11, 7:30pm
Where: Prospect Park Bandshell, Prospect Park West at 9th Street
What: It’s power-pop and indie-rock at Saturday’s Celebrate Brooklyn! 10 years after their first bandshell performance, The New Pornographers returns, along with alt-folk iconoclasts, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down.

Party Like It’s 1999: 25 Years Since Ghost Edition
When: Saturday, July 11, 7:30pm
Where: The Bell House, 149 7th Street at 2nd Avenue
What: July 11th, 1990 saw the release of the film that brought a whole new meaning to molding clay. Celebrate 25 years since the release of Ghost and get your groove on to all the best 90s rock, R&B, hip hop and dance tunes.

Local Makers Pop-Up Sale
When: Sunday, July 12, 12-5pm
Where: Threes Brewing, 149 7th Street at 2nd Avenue
What: Do some shopping while you drink at the Local Makers Pop-Up Sale at Threes Brewing this Sunday. Products include Katie Coughlin Ceramics, cutting boards, serving boards, ceramics, tea towels and knives by Noble Goods, Pernt, BTW Ceramics, Wren Lab and Au Retour.

Concerts On The Slope
When: Sunday, July 12, 3pm
Where: St. John’s Episcopal Church, 139 St. John’s Place at 7th Avenue
What: Come hear the Blue Streak Ensemble with Tara Lynn Ramsey on violin, Erika Dohi on piano, Sarah Beaty, mezzo-soprano, and Margaret Brouwer, director. The group will be performing John Harbison’s “Five Years Ago I Knew Them Both / Waiting” from “The Great Gatsby”, the East Coast Premiere of Chen Yi’s “From Old Peking Folklore” and Margaret Brouwer’s “Declaration” and others.

The Muppet Vault Presents: Muppets and Music!
When: Sunday, July 12, 7pm
Where: Union Hall, 702 Union Street
What: Love Muppets? You are in luck! This event includes screenings of tons of classic musical Muppet moments from various Muppet TV episodes, movies and specials, including a few you’ve probably never heard of. Clips will run the gamut from original Oscar-nominated numbers to ridiculous pop covers, and they’ll be hand-selected by professional Muppet geeks. Plus audience participation, with trivia questions, cool prizes, drink specials and more!
