Sweet Studio near Union
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,950, plus broker fee
Details: This place for one on 5th Avenue near Union Street has some charming details, including a decorative brick fireplace and a very well-windowed kitchen — plus the renovations are fresh, and the location is prime to restaurants, shopping, transportation, and local parks and gardens. Yay!

Two Bedroom by 5th Avenue
Available: Immediately
Price: $2,700, plus broker fee
Details: It’s not that there’s anything particularly striking about this 6th Street place, or even that there’s much information on it at the listing… it’s just, as many one bed apartments we saw this week were $2,700 (or more!), we figure it’s a pretty good deal for the area. Not to sound like a Negative Nellie — as it’s situated several short blocks south and not even a whole block east of the above listing, this place does offer the same excellent neighborhood amenities on top of the nice price.

Four Bed, Somehow
Available: Immediately
Price: $3,800, plus broker fee
Details: Alright, when was the last time you saw anywhere around here that averaged out to $950 per bedroom? This place on Union between 5th and 6th could be ideal for roommates or a family, and it even looks like it’s got at least one nice view. On the downside, one bathroom might be tough to split between four people — but if that’s not such a big concern for you, make yourself (and your cat, it looks like, if you want!) at home.

Three/Two in a Limestone
Available: April 1
Price: $4,500, plus broker fee
Details: This 4th Street apartment is a bit closer to the price point we’re used to seeing around here, if still a bit low, and it offers a few extras the above place doesn’t. For instance: a second bathroom, a dishwasher in the brand new kitchen, in-building laundry, and extra storage in the basement — and if you thought you might make it through one of these posts without having to read about a place’s floors, you thought wrong, ’cause these ones are gorgeous. Finally, this building accepts pets on approval, and is close to good stuff on 7th as well as Prospect Park.
