Park Slope Open House Picks: Under $500K

This week, we take a look at some of the apartments on the market in the neighborhood listed for under $500,000 that are hosting open houses this weekend. Are they a bargain, overpriced, or just right?

144 Park Place, #3R
Open House: Sunday, October 6, 1-3pm
List Price: $299,000, maintenance $607, via Corcoran
Details: The bathroom and kitchen were recently redone in this co-op (pictured above), which is good, because those are pretty much the only rooms you get in this alcove studio. Nice prewar details, you’re allowed to have a pet, and it’s very quick walk to the B/Q at 7th Avenue.

846 President Street, #5R
Open House: Sunday, October 6, 1-2:30pm
List Price: $399,000, maintenance $494, via Keller Williams Realty
Details: The top floor not only affords you sweet views and private rooftop access, but a skylight that lets in even more sun to this 450-square-foot 1-bed, 1-bath co-op. Looks like the kitchen could use a little updating, but the price was just reduced $51k.

381 Douglass Street, #1C
Open House: Sunday, October 6, 1-3pm
List Price: $495,000, common charges $171, via Brown Harris Stevens
Details: This 1-bed, 1-bath condo is in a building built in 1988, but the kitchen looks like it’s been renovated recently. Being on the first floor, this listing notes you have a view of backyard gardens, but it doesn’t sound like you’ve got access to one.
