‘Orange Is The New Black’ Is Filming In Park Slope On Tuesday

The popular Netflix series Orange Is The New Black will be shooting in the neighborhood on Tuesday, October 29. Tipster Brian Walsh sends this photo, and neighbor Matt Samuelowitz also wrote in to note that the production will be located around 7th Avenue and St Johns Place.

Park Slope is no stranger to OITNB — Piper Kerman, author of the memoir that inspired the series, lives in the neighborhood, and we got a minor shout-out in one episode — but this will be the first time, as far as we know, that it will be on location in the area.

You can catch up on the show on Netflix, and then look for a Park Slope cameo when season two becomes available, reportedly in the spring of 2014.

Keep an eye out for the signs, as no parking is allowed at the location starting at 10pm on Monday. If you find your car has been relocated, contact Gina at 718-706-4242. And if you catch any photos of them filming, share them with us at editor@bklyner.com!
