Open Your Studio & You Might Get a Show at the Brooklyn Museum

The Brooklyn Museum is inviting Brooklyn-based artists to open their studios on September 8-9 for a project called GO, with the possibility of being included in a group exhibition at the museum.

How it works is you’ve got to have a “studio,” which, according to GO, is defined as “the primary site for your creative process; your studio may be in your place of residence, but it must be separate from your living environment.” Registration ends June 29.

Then community members have to register as “voters,” and they will visit studios and nominate artists for the group exhibition. The ten artists with the most nominations will be visited by Brooklyn Museum curators, who will then invite two or more artists to the show that opens at the Target First Saturday on December 1.

If any of you register your studios, let us know!
