Olympia Dukakis, Phylicia Rashad & Zosia Mamet Movie “Outliving Emily” Films Next Week In Prospect Park South
We spotted signs this morning on Westminster between Church Avenue and Beverley Road, Marlborough Road between Church and Albemarle, and Stratford between Church and Beverley* for Outliving Emily, a forthcoming film by writer-director Eric Weber (Second Best, Suits). Says Variety of the film:
“Outliving Emily” is… about the tumultuous marriage of a couple, Tim and Emily Hanratty, over half a century.
The six vignettes are portrayed by twelve different actors, with real-life husband and wife Olympia Dukakis and Louis Zorich playing the couple in the final stages of their life together.
A short version of the film was made in 2011, of which IMDb says, “A long-married couple reaching their twilight years find themselves divided over whether to plot their final moment or let it come for them.”
In addition to Dukakis (Moonstruck, Steel Magnolias) and Zorich (Fiddler on the Roof, Mad About You), the film will feature Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show, Psych), Zosia Mamet (of Mad Men and the recent-filmed-in-the-neighborhood GIRLS), Alexis Bledel (of Gilmore Girls, also Mad Men, and the recently-filmed-in-the-neighborhood Us & Them), and, says Variety, Kal Penn (the Harold and Kumar series, House).
Neighbors are being asked to move their cars off the aforementioned blocks by 5pm next Thursday, June 12 for filming from 6am-10pm on Friday, June 13. If your vehicle is moved, call location manager Jose at 917-774-3499.
