Off-Duty Cop Arrested For Assaulting Elderly Woman
An off-duty police officer was arrested Sunday night for allegedly assaulting a 71-year-old woman at his home in southern Brooklyn.
Authorities say 46-year-old Vladimir Radionov, an officer in Patrol Borough Brooklyn North, was inside his building’s elevator when he got into an argument with his elderly neighbor over a dog. The off-duty cop allegedly dragged her out of the elevator and punched her in the head, according to the NYPD.
Police were not able to provide the address of the building — they only said it is located in the 60th Precinct, which covers Coney Island, Brighton Beach, and part of Gravesend.
Radionov has been charged with second-degree assault and is expected to be arraigned later today.
