NYPD Asks For Help Tracking Down Suspect Accused Of Stealing Cell Phone, Laptop From Subway Riders At Church Avenue Station

After police said a man allegedly stole an iPhone and laptop from subway riders stopped at the Church Avenue B/Q subway station, the NYPD is asking for help tracking down the suspect, pictured here.

On Monday, March 9 at about 1:3opm, the suspect allegedly snatched an iPhone from a 36-year-old man while the two were aboard a northbound B train stopped at the Church Avenue station, police said.

Then, on Wednesday, March 11 around 11:30am, the NYPD said the suspect was traveling on a southbound Q train when he allegedly stole a 62-year-old woman’s MacBook as the train pulled into the Church Avenue station.

Police described the suspect as being about 5-feet-6-inches and about 160 pounds. He has short black hair and was wearing blue sneakers, the NYPD said.
