Nutelleria Coming To 5th Avenue

Attention all chocolate-hazelnut spread fans: a Nutella-themed shop is opening soon on 5th Avenue!

Nutelleria NY, which, according to its website, is a business that’s independently owned by self-described “Nutella enthusiasts” who have no relation to the Ferrero brand, just installed its sign over 82 5th Avenue, between St Marks and Warren. The space has a bit of history with chocolate — it was most recently home to the pop-up for The Chocolate Room, which is just about ready to open its new space further up 5th Ave.

The menu promises crepes (though, there are already a couple places to get a crepe with Nutella in the area already); a breakfast pizza with cream cheese, fruit, and Nutella; a Nutella-bacon-banana waffle sandwich, and more.

We’re not sure if this will cause the Nutella bar that recently opened in Eataly to lose its title as the only Nutella bar in New York City, but one thing we do hope — the lines on opening day won’t be quite so long.

UPDATE: We reached out to owner Gleb, who with partner Andre is a founder of the Nutelleria, and who says:

We are currently at the final stages of decorating the shop and expect to be open in the following several weeks. We hope to create an environment where Nutella lovers and enthusiasts like us can come and indulge in delicious crepes with Nutella as well as various other Nutella inspired items on the menu. Our shop uses authentic Italian Nutella and all crepes, croissants, bagels, and other items are prepared fresh daily. All unconsumed products at the end of the day will be passed on to NY City Harvest program.
