Now Open: Brewklyn Grind Roasters

After a little delay, the crew at Brewklyn Grind Roasters (557 Myrtle Avenue between Emerson Place and Classon Avenue) tells us they’ve opened their doors to the public–and they’ve sent along a video to commemorate the occasion.

The big red “B” sign you’ll find at the shop (made by BGR creative director Dan Gearity) stands, of course, for the name of the company (and for our fair borough), but the pigeon inside also has special meaning–it’s an homage to owners Alain, Jamie, and Craig Farrelly’s father, who keeps homing pigeons. Oh, and it lights up in a lot of different colors.

You can see our full interview with and preview of Brewklyn Grind Roasters here. Stop by this week from 8am-6pm to welcome the Farrellys, partner Andy Schulz, and the rest of the gang to the neighborhood, and enjoy some single origin or carefully curated coffee and espresso blends, pastries from Balthazar and Ovenly, teas and chai, and more. Congrats, guys!
