Now Closed: 7th Avenue Subway

The Subway sandwich chain location at 83 7th Avenue, between Berkeley and Union, is now closed, the space emptied out and the sign removed, revealing the outline of the old letters for Leaf & Bean, which occupied the storefront before the franchise took the space over in 2012.

The 1,100-square-foot space, which includes a 900-square-foot backyard, first went on the market back in August. It’s available and still listed for the same rent, $7,975 per month.

It’s not the only Subway that’s closed in the neighborhood recently. The location at 423 5th Avenue, on the corner of 8th Street, abruptly closed in October.

For those who still need some $5 foot-longs, not to worry — there’s another Subway at 258 7th Ave, another at 525 5th Ave, another at 375 Flatbush Ave, and you know, basically everywhere.
