Not Much To Worry About On Local Subway Lines This Weekend As MTA Preps For Snow
Our local subway lines don’t have many changes for this weekend, which is fortunate since the weather on Saturday is forecast to be pretty crummy, with some snow accumulation expected. The MTA is already prepping for “snow-fighting duty,” though, so hopefully there won’t be any unexpected weather-related delays this weekend. Here’s what’s scheduled:
No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
No Q trains between 57th St-7th Ave and Ditmars Blvd
Mornings/afternoons, 10am-3pm Thursday, December 12 and Friday, December 13
Service operates between 57th St-7th Ave and Stillwell Ave. Take the N instead.
These schedules occasionally change, so be sure to check mta.info for the latest information.
