No Injuries Reported In Morning Apartment Fire At Lafayette And Carlton Avenues

It was all hands on deck at a fire at 149 Lafayette Avenue, at the corner of Carlton Street, this morning shortly after 8am. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, a fire department spokesperson told us, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The fire broke out just before 8:07am and was out by 8:44am, although witness Scott Reiburn noted that firefighters remained on the scene until at least 9am, hosing down a “corner apartment in case of any flare-ups.”

Traffic also remained stalled for a while during rush hour along Lafayette Avenue this morning, but resumed after 9am.
