No 2 Trains Between Manhattan & Brooklyn, Plus More Subway Service Changes This Weekend


Turns out it was nice the last couple months when the 2/3/4 were just skipping a few local stops — for the next two weekends, the 2 and 3 trains give up completely in our area. Details on that and more changes to look out for via the MTA:

No 2 trains between Manhattan and Brooklyn
Weekends, 11:30pm Friday to 5am Monday, until November 24
  • 2 service operates between E 180 St and Chambers St, and via the 1 to/from Rector St.
  • Trains run local between 34 St-Penn Station and Chambers St all weekend.
  • 5 service operates between Flatbush Av and E 180 St, and via the 2 to/from 241 St.

No 3 trains between 14 St and New Lots Av
Weekends, 11:30pm Friday to 5am Monday, until November 24
  • 3 service operates between 148 St and 14 St all weekend, making express stops.
  • Weekend 4 service is extended to New Lots Av.

4 service is extended to New Lots Av
Weekends, Saturday and Sunday, until November 23
4 trains replace the 3 in Brooklyn, making local stops between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and New Lots Av.
D trains run local in Brooklyn
Weekends, 12:01am Saturday to 5am Monday, until November 17
Norwood-bound trains run local from 36 St to DeKalb Av. Coney Island-bound trains run local from DeKalb Av to 59 St. Please allow additional travel time.
Coney Island-bound D trains run via the N from 36 St to Stillwell Av
Weekends, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, until November 17
No Coney Island-bound service at 9 Av, Fort Hamilton Pkwy, 50, 55, 71, 79 Sts, 18, 20 Avs, Bay Pkwy, 25 Av, and Bay 50 St.
N trains run local in both directions between DeKalb Av and 59 St, Brooklyn
Weekends, 11pm on Friday to 5am on Monday, until November 17
Allow additional travel time.
Additionally, look out for changes further along the D, F, and Q lines.
