Neighborhood Stoop Sales: June 1 – 2

Warm weather + lack of storage space = STOOP SALES!

We’ve got a number of mega sales happening around the neighborhood this week, so start working on your haggling technique now.

What: This biggie looks to be full of stuff for the kids, including pants for the boys (size 7), puzzles and games, books, 2 “Cushy Booster” chair boosters, a portable potty, LL Bean sleeping bag for girls (asking $40) and a navy blazer (size 7 boys). Also look for a double Aero mattress (asking $20), kitchen items, women’s clothing and shoes (sizes 6-8), men’s light rain jackets, messenger/shoulder bags, and lots of other odds and ends.

When: Sunday, June 2 from 12pm to 4pm
Where: 185 19th Street (between 4th and 5th Avenue)
What: This neighbor’s email was so fabulous that we thought it best to just paste the details in their own words: “The 185 19th Street Upper and Lower Compound unite to bring you a show stopping Stoop Sale this Sunday, June 2nd from noon to 4pm. Come browse our carefully curated variety of electronics, video games, vintage clothes, kid’s clothes, jewelry, and home goods. Stoop by and check it out, because if you don’t we’ll think you don’t like us.”

When: Sunday, June 2 from 10am to 1pm
Where: 231 15th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenue)
What: Monster stoop sale with over 20 families participating at the Carriage House Condominiums. Look for clothing, toys, artwork, accessories, furniture, books and more. As an added bonus, we hear there will be “great music” to enhance your deal digging experience.

When: Sunday, June 2 from 11am to 3pm
Where: 322 20th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenue)
What: Neighbor Channon Booth tells us that “two families (one is moving out of state) are joining forces to bring you LOTS of stuff at VERY reasonable prices.” Look for girl’s clothing (sizes 4-7), boy’s clothing (sizes 10-14), women’s clothing and accessories in various sizes, books, housewares, wall hangings, a bunk bed with built-in desk, toys (including Legos and games), and IKEA bedroom set, CDs and more. Best of all, if you work up a sweat, there will be cookies and lemonade available!
