Neighbor In Need: Did You Know Bill Polaski?

Bob Brzustoski, the grand-nephew of a former boat captain in Sheepshead Bay, got in touch with us to enlist the community’s help in learning more about the old man.

My grandmothers brother William “Bill” Polaski (Pawlowski) served as a fishing boat captain at Sheepshead Bay in the late 40′ and 50’s. I have been doing some genealogy research and was wondering if anyone is still around who might remember him. Wish I had more info. He was born on Barren Island as was my grandmother and their other siblings.

Any leads would be most appreciated.
