Neighbor Everton LaTour’s Death In December Just Classified As A Homicide

After a 39-year-old neighbor, Everton LaTour, died in December, the Medical Examiner recently classified the the death as a homicide, the NYPD announced today.

LaTour, who lived on Ocean Avenue, between Church Avenue and St. Paul’s Place, was found “unconscious and unresponsive” around 12:45 am at 1061 New York Avenue, by Tilden Avenue, on December 13, police said. He was brought to Kings County Hospital and then transported to Henry J. Carter Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on December 16.

On June 23, the Medical Examiner’s Office deemed the cause of death a homicide. There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing, the NYPD said.
