Need Alcohol to Get Through the Debate Wednesday? Stop By a Local Bar
Let’s get ready to rumble!
Tomorrow night is the first of three debates between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. Why watch the smackdown at home when you can gather with neighbors and alcohol in one of the local bars?
The Owl Farm, located on 9th Street between 4th and 5th Avenues, tells fans on their Facebook page that there will be “Shots every time you hear GDP, national debt, or Planet Kolob.”
In other words, the crowd will be plastered within the first 10 minutes of the debate.
Commonwealth, which calls 5th Avenue and 12th Street home, is inviting patrons to come and watch the candidates verbally duke it out in what the Brooklyn Paper describes as a “stand-up beer bar in the heartland of Brooklyn’s liberal intelligentsia [that] is sure to draw an Obama-heavy crowd.”
We can already feel the hope radiating down 5th Avenue.
Know of any other local watering holes airing the debate? Let us know in the comments.
