The official re-opening will be at 7am, but don’t worry if you don’t see a big grand opening party — those are being saved for a later date. This is “a soft launch to work out any kinks,” notes the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership on its website.

The store will have Key Food stock as well as some Brooklyn Fare items. It will also have a salad bar, bakery, and expanded meats section.

The reopening — originally planned for September — comes on the heels of the arrival of a TD Bank next door. Both retailers serve to anchor the six-story, 93-unit residential building on top, the construction of which necessitated the closing of the former Associated Supermarket last year.

The news also comes on the heels of the welcome announcement that the Lafayette Avenue Key Food (at 325 Lafayette Avenue) will return — eventually — after construction on a mixed-use housing tower is complete in about three years.
