More Snow on the Way, But Warm Up Coming

A snowy/rainy mix is supposed to start late this afternoon, right in time for the evening commute, but there’s still some disagreement about just how much we’ll get — some say we’ll just get a dusting, other forecasts say it could be three inches.

It sounds like it shouldn’t be enough to affect the subways, but check MTA.info before you head out to be safe — hopefully whatever signal problems at Prospect Park that have been slowing down Coney Island-bound trains all morning will be cleared by this afternoon. And be careful on the road, as visibility and slippery roads could impact driving conditions.

Whatever the accumulation, most of the new snow, and whatever’s still left from Friday’s storm, will probably be gone on Friday, when we might hit 50 degrees.
