For those worried that the demolished Mobile gas station at Avenue P and Coney Island Avenue might signal a shortage of fuel pumps in their neighborhood, fear not. New owners Bolla Oil are building another gas station, with more fueling capacity, and expect construction to be completed by November, according to the company’s marketing director.

Bolla Oil purchased the property in 2011 as part of a larger acquisition of 36 Mobile-branded stations in Brooklyn and Staten Island, said Bolla Marketing Director Brett Atherton.

The space at Avenue P and Coney Island Avenue will house a 2,500 square foot convenience store, with a deli, marble bathrooms, mahogany fixtures and LED screen menus, Atherton said. The construction project will also add two additional gas pumping stations to the property — bringing the total to six.

Property records show that Bolla filed to demolish the old gas station in February of last year.
