More Info On 33 Caton Place, Also Known As The Kestrel
Brownstoner posted a mockup yesterday of the new building currently under construction at 33 Caton Place (between Ocean Parkway and E 8th Street), spotted recently by an eagle eyed reader on the DJ Associates website. The building, to be called The Kestrel, will feature studios plus one, two, and three bedrooms for a total of 126 units, as well as spa and gym facilities, a media room and lounge, a business center, a playroom for kids and rooftop recreation space, attended parking, bike storage, concierge services and even a pet spa.
The building’s got a rough-hewn modern edge, taking a tip from Barclays Center with its rusted steel details, alongside a mix of gray and brown brick. The site previously reported rentals would be up for grabs starting in April. You can get a peek at the plan for unit interiors here.
What do you think of the new building on the border? Impressed by the mockup, or grossed out by the rust? And will any neighbors near to the development be relieved when construction’s finished?
