Police are still looking for a man they say illegally entered at least one Fort Greene apartment this summer and made off with valuables.
The NYPD says the suspect in the video above allegedly stole $380 in cash from an apartment on Fulton Street between 4:30am on July 24 and 7:45am on July 25. Several weeks ago, the NYPD also released information about a suspect–whose image was taken from the same surveillance tape–who reportedly illegally entered an apartment on an unspecified street in the 88th Precinct at about 4:30am on July 25, leaving with credit and debit cards.
Though the details differ, an NYPD spokesperson said this morning that cops are only looking for the suspect above, who is described as in his 20s and about 6’1 and 200 pounds, in connection with one local burglary.
On July 21, police say the same suspect attempted to burglarize a bakery in Greenwich Village, but fled empty handed after being surprised by an employee. The first segment of the video is from the July 21 incident, with the second segment from the incident in Fort Greene.
Anyone with information about this crime or the identity and the whereabouts of this suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting your tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. The NYPD says all calls are confidential.
