Milk & Honey Will Close Tomorrow, Monday, August 10 For ‘Elementary’ Filming; Move Your Cars By Tonight Or They’ll Be Towed
It looks like we’ll get to see our neighborhood’s Milk & Honey in an upcoming episode of CBS’ “Elementary” — the show that stars Lucy Liu and is a modern take on Sherlock Holmes will be filming there tomorrow, Monday, August 10.
To accommodate the filming, Milk & Honey (1119 Newkirk Avenue) will be closed for the day.
If you’re parked in the area, you’ll need to move your cars by 10pm tonight, Sunday, August 9, or they’ll be towed to the nearest legal parking spot.
“Elementary,” which has previously filmed in our area, will be taking up parking spaces in the following locations:
- West side of Coney Island Avenue, between Webster and Foster Avenues
- East side of Coney Island Avenue, between Ditmas and Foster Avenues
- North side of Parkville Avenue between E. 8th Street to Coney Island Avenue
- Both sides of Newkirk Avenue between Coney Island Avenue and Argyle Road
- Both sides of Westminster Road at Newkirk Avenue
- Both sides of Marlborough Road between Church Avenue and Caton Avenue
- North side of Church Avenue between Rugby Road and Buckingham Road
If your car is towed, call the show’s Locations Department at 718-687-0097 or 718-906-3233.
We’re not sure yet when the episode with Milk & Honey will air, but we’ll let you know as soon as find out!
And, as always, if you spot any signs for filming around the neighborhood, let us know! Email us a photo of the filming sign and where you saw it to editor@ditmasparkcorner.com, and we’ll post it to the blog.
