Midwood And Prospect Park South Rentals Moving Quicker Than Any Other Neighborhood In The City

Our southern neighbor Midwood saw rentals move quicker than any other neighborhood in the city in August, according to a report by StreetEasy.

Apartments in the area were rented after a median of just 11 days. Right behind was Prospect Park South, where apartments were rented in a median of 13 days. For both neighborhoods the median asking rent was $1,900 for August.

These numbers have DNAinfo asking if our area is the next “it” neighborhood.

South Brooklyn checks off a lot of boxes that New Yorkers are looking for, such as transit access, relatively affordable rent prices and plenty of dining and retail options,” StreetEasy data scientist Alan Lightfeldt told DNAinfo, detailing what we already know about our beautiful neighborhood.

So what do you think? Do you see the neighborhood becoming the “place to be”? Or have we already started to see it happen?
