NYPD officers from the 68th Precinct report they discovered an unidentified woman in her twenties, unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to her head, on Thursday morning in Owl’s Head Park.

Police said they responded at 10am Thursday morning to a 911 call reporting an unconscious female at Colonial Road and Wakeman Place, within the park.

EMS pronounced the woman dead at the scene, the NYPD said.

As reported by the Brooklyn Reporter, the woman was found inside an area of the park used for skating. The Reporter states that, according to sources, the woman was “white, blonde and anywhere from 25 to 30 years old,” and found “dressed in a blue shirt and black pants.”

Release of the woman’s identity is pending proper family notification, police said. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation remains ongoing, according to the NYPD.

As reported by freelance journalist Angel Mayas, a taxi cab flipped over around 7:30pm on Wednesday night. The cab turned onto 63rd Street from 18th Avenue a little too quickly, Mayas said, and flipped onto its side avoiding most parked cars. The driver, who was rescued by a friend and suffered minor injuries, was taken to Maimonides Medical Center.

The NYPD’S Emergency Services Unit turned the car back upright, then pushed the cab up against the curb to allow traffic to continue, Mayas reported.

As first reported by the Brooklyn Reporter, an unidentified black man entered a Rite-Aid near Kings Highway and West 11th Street last Sunday evening (7:51pm) and stole over $600 worth of beauty products.

The suspect is described by police as 6 feet tall, approximately 220 pounds.

The thief was confronted by security. He pushed a guard to the ground, and fled northbound in a white, four-door sedan, cops said.
