Meeting About A Possible Dog Run In The Parade Grounds On Monday, November 17

Following years of discussion about creating a dog run in our area, the dog advocacy group FIDO is continuing to spearhead efforts to make the space a reality. A member of FIDO, Lynn Radov, will hold a meeting about the dog run on Monday, November 17 at 7:30pm at 346 Coney Island Avenue (in the building’s recreation room).

FIDO wrote that Prospect Park has given the group “tentative space” in the Parade Grounds, behind the police station, for a possible dog run, but in order for it to come to fruition there must be the creation of an association to monitor and run the space. To discuss  this, and other things that need to happen to create the dog run, FIDO said more community involvement and support is needed.

Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting, but it would be helpful if you could RSVP to give Lynn a sense as to how many people are coming. You can email Lynn at lpradov@mindspring.com.

What do you think? Would you like to see a dog run in the community?
