We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Justin Fox, Fort Greene Focus’ new editor.

The city-born, Jersey-raised writer graduated from NYU and Seton Hall Law School. After spending his most of his early career working in commercial law, Justin decided to pursue his lifelong passion for media and community news.

“Stories about community government and revitalization are really what intrigue me the most,” he says. “I’m not kidding. Infrastructure developments like the Brooklyn Strand, community events that actually get people out (the Prince memorial was amazing), the ever changing skyline, and what that means.”

He also has a longstanding interest in LGBTQIA activism, othered communities, subcultures, that sort of thing. Outside of journalism, Justin’s passions include his cats — Mel and Gwildor — pro wrestling, baseball, markets, democracy, and bagels. He really, really, likes bagels. You’ve probably seen him around town — he can be recognized by his tall, lanky physique and explosive mop of hair.

Are there any local stories you’d like Justin to investigate? Post them in the comments section below.
