Mark Your Calendar: MARP Age-Friendly Community Forum On Monday, 4/20

The senior population in our neighborhoods of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill defies stereotypes, staying active, connected, and vocal, striving to keep up with the changing world. But are we as a community keeping up with them and their changing needs, as well? Are we as businesses and neighbors making sure older adults can access services and feel welcome and safe around town?

These and more questions — and brainstormed solutions — will be discussed on Monday, April 20, from 10am-12pm at a community forum on improving life for older adults in the neighborhood, at ingersoll Community Center (177 Myrtle Avenue, between Prince and Navy Streets), hosted by the Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project and New York Academy of Medicine.

Do local businesses meet your needs?
Do you feel safe in your neighborhood?
Is public transit working well for you?
Do you feel connected to your community?
We spoke to over two hundred residents about how to improve life for older adults in Fort Greene & Clinton Hill. Come join us at this community forum to hear what we learned and share your needs.

Participation is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are appreciated by calling 718-230-1689, extention 5, or by visiting http://agefriendlymyrtle.eventbrite.com.
