Man Steals $1,600 Worth Of Tools From Parked Van In Brownsville [Video]
BROWNSVILLE – The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the video below in connection to a burglary that happened earlier this month.
At approximately 4pm on Friday, October 6, police say the suspect broke into a commercial van parked at Boyland Street and Livonia Avenue by damaging the lock on the passenger side door. The suspect then took a variety of tools from the van, including a jackhammer, electric saw, cordless saw, screw gun, and a socket wrench, and moved them into a four-door sedan which he then drove away in. The total value of the stolen tools is approximately $1,600, according to police.
The suspect is described as a bald male with a light complexion, approximately 6 feet tall, in his 40s or 50s. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.
