Man Stabbed In Brighton Beach Trying To Break Up An Argument

A good samaritan was stabbed in Brighton Beach Sunday morning when he tried to break up an argument, police say.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, was stopped at Brighton 13th Street and Oceanview Avenue at around 4:20am, when he noticed a man arguing with a woman and child, according to the NYPD. The motorist yelled out his window “Hey, what are you doing?” The man in the street pulled out a knife and stabbed the driver in the torso and hand before fleeing west down Oceanview Avenue, authorities say.

The victim was taken to Lutheran Hospital where he was treated and released, according to police.

Authorities describe the suspect as a white man, last seen wearing a black skull cap, orange sleeved black vest, black pants and purple shoes. A surveillance photo has been provided by the NYPD.
