Man Robbed At Knifepoint After Craigslist Deal Goes Bad, Cops Say

A 32-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint on Christmas eve by someone responding to the Craigslist ad for his iPhone 6, police say.

The pair met just before 8pm near Avenue U and East 16th Street, according to the NYPD. The suspect entered the victim’s car and the two began to haggle over the price, cops say. The suspect then drew a knife forced the seller to turn over his phone before fleeing the scene, according to authorities.

Police provided a surveillance photo of the suspect.
