Man Found With Knife Lodged In Chest At Fort Greene’s Ingersoll Houses

On Sunday, April 9, at approximately 6:03am, police responded to a call at 30 Fleet Walk at the Ingersoll Houses in Fort Greene.

Police say they found inside an apartment unit an unconscious and unresponsive 41-year-old male victim with multiple stab wounds to his torso. The victim was also discovered with a knife lodged in his chest, police confirm.

The victim was pronounced dead when EMS arrived at the scene. Police would not confirm whether an argument preceded the incident or whether drugs or alcohol were involved.

Police report that a 42-year-old male suspect taken from the scene for questioning is currently in the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.

Until his family is notified, the identity of the deceased is being withheld.
