Man Found Dead In Prospect Park

The NYPD is investigating the death of a man found in Prospect Park over the weekend.

On Sunday, May 28, at approximately 2:20pm, police say they discovered the body of a deceased, approximately 60-year-old, black male lying face-up inside a small tent.

Police responded to the scene located in a wooded area near Center Drive after visitors to the park reported a smell, according to DNA Info. Police believe the man may have been homeless.

The cause of death is still being examined, according to police.
