Man Attacks Woman With Baseball Bat On Caton Avenue: NYPD

After a number of neighbors reached out to us about seeing what they described as a lot of blood on Caton Avenue Monday morning, we spoke to Detective Dominick Scotto from the 70th Precinct about the incident.

Scotto told us this afternoon that a 23-year-old man hit a 24-year-old woman in the head with a baseball bat on Caton Avenue, between E. 17th and E. 18th Streets.

“He was known to her because she was able to tell us all about him,” Scotto said.

The woman was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The assailant has not yet been arrested.
