Lottery Opens for 140 Affordable Housing Units in Greenpoint
GREENPOINT – Along with the massive high-rise construction coming to Greenpoint’s exploding waterfront development scene, a new building’s worth of affordable housing units has just been added to the NYC Housing Connect page.
Located at 23 India Street, near the Greenpoint Ferry Terminal, the units are split into two categories, at either 40% or 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). The unit availability and cost breakdown is as follows:

The building will feature an interior courtyard and a community room, plus laundry facilities on each floor. It is accessible via the Greenpoint stop on the G train, plus the B43 and B62 busses—not to mention the East River Ferry.
Local residents in North Brooklyn’s Community Board 1 will be given preference in selection for 50% of the units. The deadline to apply online through the NYC Housing Connect is March 19th.
