Long Weekend’s Crime Blotter

A gunpoint robbery in Crown Heights and a hammer robbery in Boerum Hill are just two of the crimes from the last few days:

  • An off-duty sanitation worker, Robert Leslie (33) was arrested for assault in Southern Brooklyn (60th Precinct) late last night, December 25.
  • There was a gunpoint robbery at 2053 Atlantic Avenue (Deli) in on the border of Brownsville & Bed Stuy (73rd) at 6 am yesterday morning, Monday, December 25. Three men, wearing dark clothing with their faces covered, entered the Deli, one of them pulled a gun and demanded cash from the register. The second man climbed on the counter, while the third kept an eye out. They took off with about $200 and without harming the employees.
  • Crown Heights (77th) – NYPD is looking for two suspects in Saturday’s (December 23) middle of the day gunpoint robbery at N and S Deli at 1250 Park Place.  At 3 pm, the two suspects approached the 47-year-old worker, one of them displayed a firearm and demanded money in the cash register. The victim complied and no injuries were reported. Suspects are described by the police as follows:


Individual#1: man, 5″.7″ to 5′.8″,  was last seen wearing all black

Individual#2: man, 5′.6″ to 5′.7″, was wearing a gray and black jacket, blue pants and white sneakers.

  • Boerum Hill (84th) – cops are looking for these suspects in a vicious robbery with a hammer that took place last Wednesday afternoon, December 20 just before 4 pm near Dean Street and 4th Avenue. The 64-year-old victim was approached by a man demanding money, and when it turned out the victim did not have any the suspect hit him on the head with a hammer and along with a female accomplice robbed him of his cellphone. They fled west on Bergen Street. The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital in serious but stable condition, suffering a broken jaw as a result of this incident.

Individual #1 is described as a black man, approximately 6’0″ tall and 170 lbs., last seen wearing all dark clothing.

Individual #2 is described as a black woman, last seen wearing all dark clothing.

NYPD also released a number of requests for assistance to help identify suspects in crimes that took place a little while ago:

  • Q-train masturbator (88th/TD30) – on Wednesday, December 20, at approximately 10:30 pm a 26-year-old woman was riding aboard a southbound “Q” train in the vicinity of the Canal Street and Broadway when an unknown male began to masturbate in front of her. Both the victim and suspect exited the train at DeKalb Avenue and Flatbush Avenue. The victim was able to take cell phone pictures of the individual before he fled the station on foot to parts unknown.

Police describe the individual as a man in his 50s, 5’8″ tall, 170 lbs with black hair; last seen wearing all black clothing.

  • East New York (75th) – NYPD is looking for a 23-year-old man who sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl in a basement apartment near Berriman Street and Hedgeman Avenue on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at approximately 5 pm. He then punched the victim, police report, and fled with her phone and jewelry.


Police say the individual is about 23 years of age, 5’11” tall, 190 lbs., and was last seen wearing all black clothing.

  • Cypress Hills – NYPD is asking assistance in identifying three men who robbed a 53 year old delivery guy at gunpoint on Thursday evening, December 7, just before 9pm in front of 331 Crescent Street (75th Precinct). Police describe suspects as follows:

Suspect #1 is described as a man in his twenties, last seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, red bandana, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Suspect #2 is described as a man in his twenties, last seen wearing all black.

Suspect #3 is described as a man, last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers.
