Lines for Gas Continue Despite Rationing

Rationing measures for gas began this morning, but it doesn’t seem to have made a huge dent in the lines in the city. At the Hess on 4th Avenue and Union this afternoon, the police managed a line of cars that headed west and looped onto 3rd Ave. The line for people carrying gas cans (for which there are no daily restrictions) was about 30 people long.

And, after a week of difficulties for drivers, it was interesting to see another line of cars someplace else today: the drive-through of the McDonald’s on 4th Ave and 1st St.
