Lindos Has Closed, New Restaurant Already In The Works For The 5th Ave Space

Lindos, the diner that’s been a staple for years at 606 5th Avenue, between Prospect Ave and 17th Street, has closed.

Neighbor Vic noticed something going on there about a week ago and said he’d seen it had been for sale earlier, and then another neighbor, Jeff, spotted them over the weekend giving away all their dishes to people walking by. When we passed by yesterday, we saw the inside has been cleared out, and a worker inside was only able to say that Lindos had closed, and that a new restaurant will be opening soon — while we’re not sure if it’s from the same owners or not, giving away the plates suggests the Lindos owners have moved on.

Paper up on the doors promises “Pantastic Food,” and lists perhaps a bit of what we can expect from the new place — breakfast burritos, omelets, salads, burgers, fresh-cut fries, and more.

If anyone knows any more details about what happened to Lindos or more about this new place, let us know in the comments below, or feel free to reach out at editor@bklyner.com, and we’ll keep you posted on what’s coming up here next.
