Limited Edition Art Goes On Sale To Support BAM Programming

For most of us, there’s no way we would be able to afford one of these prints, but in case you know someone with $1,200-$3,500 to spare and a penchant for buying art while supporting worthy causes such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music, then here’s an FYI.

BAM Visual Art is offering three limited edition, autographed and numbered prints (50 each) by New York-based artist Shinique Smith, who is described as being “inspired by the vast vocabulary of things that we consume and discard.”

Her works “examine[s] the ways in which such objects can resonate on a personal and social scale [through] the graceful and spiritual qualities in the written word and the everyday.”

All proceeds benefit BAM’s artistic programming.
