Library Art: The White Was Primer

And the sculpture outside of the newly-reopened Cortelyou Library has been brought back to a rusty brown, which is certainly better than actual rust.

Anyone have any background on the sculpture, or remember when it was installed? I’m trying to track down some details, and will report back, but would love to hear what you might remember.
