Do you yearn for a lush window-sill herb garden, but lack a green thumb? Now you can boost your plant fertility skills at Dome Playground’s free gardening workshop this Wednesday, June 29, at 3:30pm — just in time for summer growing season

Dome Playground’s gardening workshop will feature local horticultural therapist Sue Braverman, offering tips on how to divide and pot your plants without harming them, and keep them growing all season long. The newly potted plants are yours to take home or give away as gifts.

The workshop, plant material and pots are all free, courtesy of Partnership for Parks, so there’s no excuse not to dig in.

Ms. Braverman is the supervisor of novice gardeners who tend flowers, bushes and vegetables at the Windsor Terrace Library on Fort Hamilton Parkway at East 5th Street. She is also the founder of a rehab program called Urban Oasis, which includes an urban farm, two greenhouses, and a farmers market.

Dome Playground is located on 38th Street and Dahill Road, one block west of McDonald Avenue. Come by for the free gardening workshop from 3:30pm to 5pm.
