Learn About Trapping and Neutering Our Feral Cats

Ditmas Park has had a large feral cat population–so large, in fact, that overpopulation can severely degrade the cats’ lives. And many humans aren’t happy to have them digging in their gardens and yards. Neighborhood Cats aims to educate New York City about the problems and, most importantly, about a solution: trap-neuter-return (TNR), or as they say, “the most humane and effective method available to end the severe feral cat overpopulation crisis faced by this country.”

A TNR workshop is taking place at the Cortelyou Library this Saturday, September 29, 12:30-4pm:

All workshop attendees will become TNR certified and NYC residents will gain access to low cost spay/neuter (currently $5 per cat at the ASPCA’s clinic), free traps and equipment, and expert guidance and assistance. Join the 4000+ caretakers trained to date!
