Leaf & Bean To Close After 41 Years In Park Slope

Leaf & Bean, the coffee and tea shop that moved to 176 Lincoln Place in 2012 after 40 years of business on 7th Avenue, will be closing up shop for good when their current lease runs out.

Nearly everything in the store (aside from perishables) is currently available for 50% off, and shelving and fixtures are also available for purchase. They’re looking at a possible closing date of around Memorial Day.

This is the second storefront on this block to see turnover this month — just a couple doors down, Stitch Therapy closed up its fourth shop in 10 years in the neighborhood.

Opened in 1973, Leaf & Bean was one of the first places you could pick up fancy coffee beans in the neighborhood, which is now quite a bit easier to do with so many more coffee shops. Even so, this long-time institution will be missed. Please join us in wishing owners Karen and Vikki the best of luck!
