I hate to keep telling everyone about the crime and dangerous situations happening in our area, because no matter what — Sheepshead Bay and its environs are a great place to live.
It just so happens, that South Brooklyn is getting overdeveloped and crowded beyond capacity. With more average people unable to afford living anywhere in the five boroughs, it’s no wonder serious incidents seem to be on the rise.
Yesterday and today, the Gothamist listed Breaking News and Latest Incidents in the Kings Highway, Midwood, and Bergen Beach (near Mill Basin & Marine Park) areas. A pedestrian was struck, a carjacking thief was being pursued, and another perpetrator was also being sought at a shoe store. On Emmons Avenue, someone was reported as “in the water”.
