Key Food Still Closed, Sticking With Power Outage As The Reason

Another day, another sign posted outside of the Key Food on the corner of 5th Avenue and 12th Street.

Closed since early October, the supermarket — which has lost fans in the building because of apparent smells and flies since they shuttered — originally blamed a power outage on the closure, and then simply said they’re reopen in November.

This new notice again claims there was an “extensive power outage” that has required repairs, but that they should reopen in the next few weeks.

“We will be newly improved and better than before,” the sign reads.

Let’s hope they’re taking everyone’s complaints about what’s not in stock — and worse, what’s spoiled — into account with these renovations.
