Keep an Eye Out for Your Neighbors’ Homes

Just a reminder to keep an eye out for any unusual behavior happening around your neighbors’ homes. A neighbor on Argyle near Cortelyou came home to find a pile of leaves, matches, and a burned spot on the rug on her porch. Though it would be convenient to brush it off as kids getting into mischief (if it was kids), this sort of thing obviously has the potential to be disastrous.

So if you happen to notice activity at a neighbor’s home that seems out of the ordinary, don’t feel weird about calling 911. As the 70th Precinct’s Deputy Inspector Eric Rodriguez often says, if it makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up, just call for help.
